Nine Tailed Fox, Atlas Restaurant Group’s contemporary Chinese dining concept at The Village of Cross Keys, brings a fresh perspective to Chinese cuisine in Baltimore. Combining fresh flavors, refined techniques, and a modern approach, the restaurant’s menu draws inspiration from regional Chinese specialties while celebrating the dishes and flavors that have shaped America’s long love affair with Chinese food.

The restaurant takes its name from the legendary nine-tailed fox, a powerful figure in Chinese and East Asian mythology associated with longevity, wisdom, transformation, and shapeshifting. Traditionally portrayed as a fox that develops additional tails as it ages and gains knowledge and power, the mythical creature embodies evolution and reinvention qualities that reflect Nine Tailed Fox’s approach to cuisine and Atlas Restaurant Group’s continually evolving collection of dining experiences.

Located in a striking two-story space at Cross Keys, Nine Tailed Fox pairs a contemporary setting with elements inspired by traditional Chinese art and design. The 200-seat restaurant features an expansive dining room, second-floor bar, rooftop patio, and intimate spaces throughout, creating an experience that balances spectacle with warmth and sophistication.

Guests will find handmade dumplings and potstickers, Peking duck,  wok-fired specialties, and inventive dishes that incorporate Maryland influences, including crab and sweet corn soup and Szechuan-style whole rockfish.
